Job Description

Overview

Berner International is a family-owned business that has been manufacturing air curtains since 1956, focusing on energy savings and creating comfortable environments. The Welder position on the 2nd shift involves welding operations and fabrication tasks to ensure timely production of high-quality products.

Responsibilities

  • Process parts work orders
  • Complete fabrication and welding operations in a timely fashion to meet ship dates
  • Responsible for bending, punching, milling, rolling, and machinery setup
  • Operate CNC laser punch press
  • Perform some machine repair
  • Weld parts that meet acceptable quality standards
  • Maintain work area
  • Coordinate jobs between fabrication and welding departments
  • Assist other departments as needed

Requirements

  • Strong CNC laser and punch press experience
  • Ability to read protractor, micrometer, and calipers
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Knowledge of production procedures
  • Knowledge of fabricating equipment and measuring tools
  • Knowledge of various metal gauges
  • Knowledge of welding and welding processes
  • MIG welding preferred
  • Must be able to use a tape measure
  • Must be able to read and interpret visual and written production procedures
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment screenings
