Overview

IFF is a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients, and health & biosciences, seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to ensure critical operations run safely and efficiently. This role is based in Pryor, OK, and involves working in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of mechanical equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment issues using technical documentation and specifications.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance activities including lubrication and filter replacement.
  • Align rotating equipment using precision instruments.
  • Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, rigging, and metalworking activities.
  • Execute lockout/tagout procedures to ensure safe maintenance work.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance systems to document work and order materials.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and engineers for safe and effective work.
  • Support a culture of safety while mentoring less-experienced personnel.

Requirements

  • Experience performing industrial mechanical maintenance and repair.
  • Working knowledge of pumps, compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment specifications and technical manuals.
  • Experience using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and welding equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to safely perform rigging, lifting, and equipment installation.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Commitment to safety practices and use of personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
