Overview

Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) invites motivated individuals to join their team in manufacturing Heavy Duty trucks. The AM Fuel Tank Non-Welder position involves operating various equipment to meet production requirements while ensuring quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment including a robot polisher, laser cutter, shear, roller, and packaging stations.
  • Interpret work orders, production routers, bills of materials, product manuals, and verbal instructions.
  • Understand and comply with all ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Use hand tools effectively, including a tape measure.
  • Operate shear machine and verify accuracy of cut specifications.
  • Operate laser machine and validate measurements according to blueprints.
  • Operate robot polisher and perform manual polishing to meet blending specifications.
  • Package, box, and label products according to company standards using Navision.
  • Complete all required daily paperwork and update production boards.
  • Perform 5S audits and complete daily checklists.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts by providing process improvement suggestions.
  • Use daily discomfort logs and report any sickness or injury.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area through daily housekeeping responsibilities.
  • Be flexible and willing to move to different work areas based on production needs.
  • Be available to work overtime, including weekends, when required.
  • Participate in team huddles, group projects, and one-on-one communications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • 1–3 years of manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.
  • Ability to use basic gauges, hand tools, and a tape measure accurately.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, wiring prints, and basic welding specifications.
  • Skilled in using a hand polisher.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated individual who takes pride in personal and team development.
  • Strong basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions.
  • Ability to perform precise, high-quality work.
  • Strong organizational skills with accurate recordkeeping.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

  • This position is open to applicants who can work in Tooele, UT US.
