Overview

French Ellison Truck Center is currently accepting applications for a Fabricator/Welder. Responsibilities include fabrication and welding of oilfield equipment. Previous experience is preferred, and excellent benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, weld, and repair oilfield equipment.
  • Maintain accurate dimensional tolerances.
  • Work from drawings, blueprints, verbal instructions, and other.
  • Flag time worked and write stories.
  • Clean and maintain welding equipment.
  • Adhere to safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Formal technical training degree, certificate or diploma preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have experience with fabrication and welding on both metal and aluminum.
  • Must be able to handle heavy materials manually and with machinery.
  • Must have general tools to perform minor mechanical duties.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret shop repair order forms, repair manuals, blueprints, and various other technical bulletins.
  • Ability to use computer keyboard and Windows basics.
  • Ability to work in an environment with frequent exposure to outside weather elements.
  • Ability to work 8 – 10 hour days, including overtime hours as needed.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crawl, walk and sit on a regular basis with frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
