Overview

We are looking for a Welder - Fabrication to join our team, which supports the construction and repair of roads and critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will handle repairs and custom fabrication projects, contributing to the expansion of our welding department.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, weld, modify, and build custom solutions for internal and customer projects.
  • Take ownership of custom fabrication projects from start to finish.
  • Work closely with service groups and outside customers to repair equipment.
  • Fabricate and modify attachments, reinforce buckets, and build brackets and components.
  • Create one-off solutions for unique equipment and customer needs.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of welding machines and ability to make consistent welds.
  • Experience with MIG, stick, and TIG welding, with at least 1 year of experience preferred.
  • Flexibility to jump between projects as priorities change.
  • Creative mindset with a focus on safety and durability.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Experience with CNC is a plus.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Typical schedule is Monday - Friday with some weekends as needed, typically 7:00 am - 4/5:00 pm.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
