Overview

Turner Industries is a fully diversified industrial contractor headquartered in Baton Rouge, LA, with over 20,000 employees across the United States. They are seeking Combination Welders for maintenance work in Pasadena, TX, focusing on safety and efficiency in industrial construction.

Responsibilities

  • Lay out, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms.
  • Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding.
  • Position, align, and fit components together, securing them for welding.
  • Set up equipment and weld parts using various methods.
  • Assemble parts by bolting and riveting as needed.
  • Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
  • Use cutting torch to cut materials and demo existing assemblies.

Requirements

  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in specified skill.
  • Must pass a written pre-employment qualification test.
  • Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation required.
  • Hazard Communication orientation/test required.
  • Turner Industries Group, LLC indoctrination required.
  • OSHA approved corrective eyewear (Z87) required.
  • Job site orientation and safety requirements as required by the client.

Additional Information

  • Non-exempt role; reports to the Site Manager / Area Safety Manager.
  • No per diem; ideal for candidates local to the area.
  • Successful candidates must be willing to assist Pipe crew as needed.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • NCCER highly preferred, or ability to pass craft test.
  • Must pass weld test and safety council.
  • Drug test and employment physical required.
