Overview

We are seeking a Material and Welding Engineer with Welding and quality control experience to support LNG projects. The role involves ensuring conformance to project specifications and corporate Engineering standards through delivery of scope.

Responsibilities

  • Support all LNG development including Engineering, construction, project, and operations.
  • Provide specialist Materials Engineering and Welding support.
  • Assist with HAZOP close-out.
  • Address technical deviations.
  • Respond to construction queries.
  • Support operations.
  • Manage internal interfaces with the Houston Engineering team, site construction team, and project teams.
  • Manage external interfaces with EPC contractor’s materials/Welding and Mechanical teams, and fabrication contractors.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with Welding Management standards (AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, API RP 582).
  • Knowledge of Engineering Construction Codes (ASME section VIII, ASME B 31.3 and B31.8).
  • Understanding of US Gulf Coast and Federal Regulatory standards (NFPA 59A, 49 CFR part 193).
  • 5-7 years experience in materials and welding engineering is preferred.
  • Previous LNG project experience is preferred.
  • Degree qualified engineer in Materials and Welding Engineering or related academic experience.
