Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a mechanically inclined welder/fabricator to join our team, responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding metal components using Stick and MIG welding processes while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG and/or stick welding, fabricating parts based on project requirements.
  • Maintain welding equipment and ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to specifications.

Requirements

  • Experience reading blueprints.
  • Experience operating fabrication equipment.
  • Ability to produce high-quality welds.
  • Knowledge in basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and construction is helpful.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is helpful but not necessary.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and Stick work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. It lays down metal fast and is forgiving on clean material, which is why it dominates production and light fabrication work. Stick (SMAW) burns a flux-coated consumable rod and needs no shielding gas, so it works in wind, rain, and on dirty or rusted steel. That tolerance for bad conditions keeps it the default for field, structural, and repair work.
