Overview

The Heat Treat Assistant Technician performs Electrical Heat treatment to achieve desired results such as hardening or softening of materials. This role involves working on various components in industries like refining, petrochemical, power, and construction, while adhering to safety standards and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to safety standards and practices.
  • Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to TEAM’s Core Values and 7 Critical Choices.
  • Instructs assistants assigned to project performing HTT duties.
  • Completes the set up and completion of heat treatment jobs.
  • Conducts job walks and communicates requirements.
  • Interfaces with clients and co-workers.
  • Ensures jobs are completed in a timely manner and according to schedule.
  • Instructs Assistant Technician on proper set-up/tear-down of equipment and maintenance tasks.
  • Completes calibrations and overall equipment and facilities maintenance.
  • Oversees project execution and daily tasks associated with industrial maintenance services.
  • Completes proper documentation and reports of services provided.
  • Learns and abides by heat treat procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess Valid Driver’s License.
  • Heat Treat experience preferred.
  • Travel Requirements: 25% - 50%.

Additional Information

  • Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.
  • Must be able to tolerate climate changes.
  • Interaction with other crew employees, supervisors, and client personnel.
  • Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise.
  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required for personal protection.
  • May be at more than one job site in a day and may be required to travel out of town.
