Overview

OSI Systems companies have a long history of developing innovative solutions to improve quality of life in healthcare, security, and defense. OSI Electronics is seeking a Solder Operator responsible for installing electronic components and performing rework to meet required standards.

Responsibilities

  • Hand solder through-hole and surface-mount electronic components under magnification.
  • Perform basic rework, component replacement, and inspect solder joints for quality.
  • Complete repetitive manufacturing tasks associated with electronic assemblies.
  • Follow production routings and customer-specific requirements accurately.
  • Apply labels, attach components, and use adjustable torque screwdrivers.
  • Use mechanical and hand tools to complete assembly tasks safely.
  • Uphold the company’s core values and report quality problems.
  • Duties may be modified to meet business needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of experience in a soldering capacity or manufacturing environment required.
  • Working knowledge of soldering, PCB assembly, and component identification required.
  • Ability to use small hand tools and mechanical tools required.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and work instructions required.
  • Must distinguish component markings and perform detailed work under magnification.
  • Ability to perform selective soldering operations and identify solder joint quality required.
  • Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail required.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
