Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic at Mondelēz International plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability of manufacturing processes by performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting equipment issues. Responsibilities

  • Execute preventive maintenance schedules using the plant's Computerized Maintenance Management System.
  • Document and report all maintenance activities and asset improvements using SAP-PM.
  • Utilize condition-based monitoring equipment for maintenance tasks.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective parts on processing and packaging lines.
  • Interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
  • Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to solve operational challenges.
  • Communicate technical updates effectively across shifts.
  • Safely operate material handling and elevated work equipment.
  • Work alongside other personnel to restore system performance.
  • Comply with safety, quality, and operational excellence standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • 2–4 years of hands-on manufacturing experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or completion of an approved Apprenticeship/Training Program.
  • Ability to work well in a team-based environment with limited supervision.
  • Proficiency in pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical drives, basic machining, hand tools, welding, and foundational electrical systems.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to perform root-cause analysis.
