Overview

The Assistant Site Quality Specialist is responsible for confirming fabrication and installation activities are performed and documented according to project specifications and governing codes. This role supports quality assurance processes and ensures compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Confirm fabrication and installation activities are performed and documented according to project drawings and specifications.
  • Understand and utilize technical specifications to support successful fabrication and installation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Inspection and Test Plans.
  • Confirm material and equipment are properly received, stored, and maintained.
  • Assist in tracking Welder to Weld traceability.
  • Inspect products and services to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Review quality verification documents for compliance.
  • Participate in walk-down and turnover processes, performing acceptance inspections as needed.
  • Assist in assessing key quality processes for compliance.
  • Identify and document conditions adverse to quality.
  • Assist with Quality orientation on the project site.
  • Comply with all Safety & Health requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 4 years relevant experience in quality management required.
  • Or Associate Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Welding Technology, Nondestructive Examination or related field and 2 years relevant experience in quality management required.
  • Or Bachelor Degree in Welding Engineering, Construction Management, Welding Technology, Nondestructive Examination or related field required.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Advanced technical writing experience required.
  • Strong computer and communications media skills.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Certified Welding Inspector-AWS preferred.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country.
