Overview

Aggreko is seeking a Planned Maintenance Technician in Chicago (Lemont), IL, to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on various power generation and HVAC equipment, ensuring customers' needs are met with reliable service.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, chillers, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, and handle the repairs.
  • Set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites, either independently or with other technicians.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience working on diesel power/natural gas generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment.
  • Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card based on customer requirements.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.
