Job Description

Overview

Join ONEOK, a Fortune 500 leader in the energy industry, as an Intermediate Measurement Technician within our Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) segment in Lemont or Morris, IL. In this hands-on role, you will help ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of critical measurement systems that support the transportation and processing of NGL products.

Responsibilities

  • Install, test, calibrate, repair, and maintain various types of flow meters and regulation equipment.
  • Perform measurement, sampling, and regulation operations and maintenance at facilities.
  • Calibrate and maintain test instrumentation and auxiliary equipment.
  • Drive and ensure maintenance of company vehicle.
  • Interact effectively with corporate measurement personnel and adhere to corporate measurement procedures.
  • Prepare reports including job orders, completion reports, and DOT compliance reports.
  • Inspect, maintain, and perform repairs on measurement devices and equipment.
  • Witness meter calibrations per contractual obligations.
  • Develop understanding of causes of measurement uncertainty.

Requirements

  • Training and/or experience in meter testing and installation.
  • Experience in regulating flow and pressure.
  • Knowledge of company and governmental operating/safety procedures.
  • Experience servicing and repairing measuring station equipment.
  • Ability to interpret measurement data and characteristics of product handled.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting maps, gauges, and operational manuals.

Additional Information

  • Employee is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions.
  • Day and overnight travel to other locations required.
  • Must be able to obtain a Class D CDL in Illinois.
