Overview

The Welder Fabricator 2 will perform MIG and TIG welding on various metals, review specifications, and fabricate tools and parts. This role requires interpreting blueprints and ensuring quality and safety in a production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Metal Inert Gas (MIG) and Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding on products.
  • Meet daily productivity and output goals.
  • Set up devices and components for welding according to specifications.
  • Join and fabricate metal using appropriate welding techniques.
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics.
  • Follow the appropriate welding process.
  • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
  • Repair products and components by welding and filling gaps.
  • Test and inspect welded surfaces to discover flaws.
  • Maintain equipment to ensure safety.
  • Achieve zero quality defects on products.
  • Perform a wide range of complex duties within the scope of responsibility.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or completion certificate from a certified technical school required.
  • Minimum 3 years of work-related experience as a Welder preferred.
  • Fabrication experience utilizing fixtures and jigs preferred.
  • MIG or General Welder Certification preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to use a tape measure and calculate fractions.
  • Ability to visualize projects and manage timelines effectively.
