Overview

Crown Technical Systems, a Flex Company, is a leader in power distribution and protection systems, specializing in customized, turn-key solutions. They are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support the Low Voltage Switchgear Department in Dallas, Texas, focusing on quality control throughout the production process.

Responsibilities

  • Performs visual inspections and tests of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to confirm compliance with specifications.
  • Verifies and documents the condition and count of items unloaded from trucks and trailers, reporting discrepancies.
  • Uses observation and testing to identify faults in materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Documents inspection results by completing inspection reports, logs, and checklists.
  • Documents corrective action requests and inputs data into the corrective action database.
  • Communicates with the supervisor to recommend remedies for product-related questions.
  • Maintains quality records as needed.
  • Keeps inspection and measurement equipment operational by following instructions and notifying management of necessary repairs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in quality inspections in a fabrication/manufacturing environment, particularly in welding.
  • Thorough understanding of the product and/or process being inspected (welding).
  • Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in safely operating powered equipment (forklift, reach truck, etc.).
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.

  • Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.
