Overview

Siemens Energy is offering a unique opportunity for early career engineers to join their Field Service Engineer in Training Program, which combines classroom instruction, hands-on technical training, and real-world field experience to support critical energy infrastructure across North America.

Responsibilities

• Complete classroom and instructor-led training in Orlando, FL and Houston, TX.
• Participate in on-the-job training with expert engineers at multiple customer sites across the US.
• Supervise technicians and mechanics during power plant maintenance shutdowns.
• Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble turbines and generators.
• Coordinate the upgrading of mechanical and electrical systems on turbine generators.
• Ensure timely and accurate repairs as the primary customer contact during outages.
• Assist with equipment disassembly, inspection, troubleshooting, and reassembly.
• Collaborate closely with customers, field technicians, engineers, and service teams.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field is required by the start date.
• Candidates graduating in the following year are encouraged to apply for other open opportunities.
• Enjoy solving complex technical challenges and providing outstanding service.
• Open to travel and willing to spend extended periods away from home.
• Ability to work extended hours of up to 12-14 hours per day, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to ascend and descend ladders, work in confined spaces, and move boxes weighing up to 40 pounds.
