Overview

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Blades Senior Aircraft Technician to join the Blades Repair team in Grand Prairie, TX. The role involves performing various functions on rotor blades, ensuring quality and compliance with documentation and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, move, clean, inspect, repair, assemble rotor blades.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with assigned lead regarding schedules and priorities.
  • Develop a clear understanding of methods and procedures on rotor blade repairs.
  • Utilize hand tools effectively for inspection and repairs.
  • Develop skills in cleaning, sanding, body work, and painting on rotor blades.
  • Complete required documentation for rotor blade inspection and repairs.
  • Ensure work complies with customer specifications and FAA regulations.
  • Identify and understand customer requirements proactively.
  • Advocate for the customer's interests and provide excellent service.
  • Communicate issues early and seek improvement opportunities.
  • Take ownership of decisions and commitments regarding time, cost, and quality.
  • Promote agreed standards and react to deviations immediately.
  • Persist in completing tasks despite obstacles.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two years related experience in automotive, aerospace, composite, woodworking, or other related skills.
  • Trade school attendance or certification may substitute for experience.
  • Preferred: Five years of related experience.
  • Preferred: SAP background.
  • Preferred: ASE, FAA Airframe Certificate, or other trade-related certifications.
