Overview

Dart Container is seeking skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanics to ensure peak performance of plant and facility equipment. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, installing, and modifying equipment to maintain operations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, analyze, maintain, modify, repair and/or rebuild a variety of plant and facility equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure machines run smoothly and operate efficiently.
• Assist production personnel in change-over and set-ups.
• Dismantle defective machines and equipment to access problem areas or install new or repaired parts.

Requirements

• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic problems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial truck (PIT) license.
• Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language.
• Ability to read and follow basic blueprints, manuals, and mechanic and electrical schematics preferred.
• For Level 2: Three years’ experience in preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair.
• For Level 2: Special knowledge in use of hand-tools and power-tools.
• For Level 2: Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot moderately complex problems.
• For Level 2: Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature and pressure gauges.
• For Level 2: Proficient in reading and following basic blueprints, manuals, and mechanic and electrical schematics.
• For Level 2: Experience operating test equipment and/or software.
• For Level 2: Working knowledge of automated controls.
• For Level 2: Ability to operate Powered Industrial Truck (PIT), hoists and cranes.
• For Level 3: Five years’ experience in preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair.
• For Level 3: Special knowledge in use of hand-tools, power-tools, and lock-out tag-out (LOTO).
• For Level 3: Ability to perform root cause analysis and recommend resolutions.
• For Level 3: Advanced mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex problems.
• For Level 3: Advanced understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature and pressure gauges.
• For Level 3: Understand manufacturing processes and able to inspect and repair or replace components.
• For Level 3: Experience using Microsoft Office.

Additional Information

• Shift availability includes 8pm-8am, 8am-8pm for Level 2 Mechanics and 7am-3pm for Level 3 Mechanics.
