Job Description

Overview

Clorox is seeking a qualified candidate for a Maintenance Technician/EIC position at their Atlanta West facility. The role involves maintaining and troubleshooting various mechanical and electrical systems to ensure reliable manufacturing of disinfecting wipes.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, analyze, and repair equipment to prevent and resolve process failures.
  • Troubleshoot motor and motor control problems, with knowledge of VFDs, PLCs, and servo motors.
  • Clean work area after each job and maintain the workstation.
  • Utilize computer software to perform various tasks including creating work orders and troubleshooting equipment.
  • Demonstrate self-motivated work behavior requiring limited supervision.
  • Read and update technical manuals and drawings.
  • Understand shaft alignment techniques and maintain mechanical drive systems.
  • Perform pipe fitting and use various hand and power tools.
  • Utilize fabrication and assembly skills to repair defective machinery.
  • Identify and install components of automated packaging equipment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform tasks using various shop equipment.
  • Demonstrate a basic working knowledge of DC and AC circuits and read schematics.
  • Replace or adjust electrical devices and locate I/Os on PLC from schematics.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of industrial maintenance work experience or equivalent education.
  • Proficiency in maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and control systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of VFDs, PLCs, and servo motors.
  • Ability to repair machinery using drawings and manuals.
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
  • Understanding of shaft alignment techniques and tools.
  • Ability to maintain mechanical drive systems and various pump types.
  • Pipe fitting skills and electrical skills.
  • Knowledge of variable frequency drive operations and motor control circuits.
  • Proficiency in following ladder logic and reading/updating P&IDs.
  • Self-motivated work behavior requiring limited supervision.
  • Computer skills using business programs and maintenance management systems.
