Overview

The MCK - Welder position at Dynacraft involves performing various welding tasks with a focus on aluminum welding, requiring minimal supervision and a strong understanding of welding technology. Located in McKinney, TX, this role is part of PACCAR, a global leader in manufacturing commercial vehicles and engines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform aluminum welding operations.
  • Manufacture product that meets quality requirements.
  • Inspect and verify work prior to submitting for inspection.
  • Keep equipment clean and maintain proper fluid levels.
  • Make routine decisions and use problem-solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues or seek assistance.
  • Weld on all types of metals and alloys in various sizes and shapes.
  • Produce welds subject to x-ray analysis, magnaflux inspection, dye check, and/or gas tight pressure tests.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of aluminum welding experience on GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) preferred.
  • GED/HS Diploma required.
  • Weld Certification preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, and follow written and oral directions in English.
  • Must have excellent manual dexterity.
  • Must pass TIG Aluminum and 2 MIG Carbon Steel weld tests.
  • Ability to meet vision standards including far-vision acuity of 20/40 or better.

  • Various schedules: Day M-F 6:00a-2:30p, Evenings 3:00p-11:30p, Night Su-Th 9:30p-6a.
  • Position involves standing up to 8 hours per day.
  • Push/pull can involve up to 75 lbs.
  • Lift/carry can involve up to 35 lbs.
  • May require repetitive wrist movement.
  • Must be able to withstand working in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment.

What you'll be running
