Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate resistance spot welders and/or power press.
  • Explain the company's Quality Policy and how the position impacts customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and document non-conformances in the Quality Management System.
  • Participate in preventative actions and conduct corrective actions as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the personal work area and shared facility space.
  • Comply with all safety, environmental, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
  • Attend and perform the requirements of scheduled training and educational programs.
  • Support company continuous improvement activities and participate in independent auditing.
  • Stop work on processes as necessary to contain suspect or defective materials.
  • Work at different stations as production needs require.
  • Ensure materials needed are present and request or retrieve materials when necessary.
  • Position parts against fixtures or stops on machine bed or die.
  • Start press and observe operation for misalignment or malfunction.
  • Inspect parts for conformance to specifications and report non-conformances.
  • Clean machines and pack parts in specified relationships.
  • Complete tags to track product flow and identify operators.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork and turn it into the team leader.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Able to stand for 8-10 hours a day and perform essential functions of the position.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a sufficient level.

Additional Information

  • This is a 2nd Shift position from 5pm to 1:30am, Monday to Friday.
  • May require early arrival, late stay, or weekend work to meet customer needs.
