Overview

A family-owned company dedicated to creating high-quality chairs and tables for commercial dining spaces is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Technician. The Manufacturing Technician will assist with machine programming, tube bending, and other processes to meet production needs.

Responsibilities

  • Determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance using work orders and machine specification papers.
  • Operate fork lift to move materials needed to perform work.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and determine best means for maintenance and repairs.
  • Reassemble equipment after the completion of work.
  • Inspect or test damaged machine parts, marking defective areas or advising supervisors of repair needs.
  • Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to production specifications.
  • Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.
  • Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
  • Set up and operate machines, adjusting controls to regulate operations.
  • Perform general construction work, painting, drywall, carpentry, and grounds keeping.
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks on equipment as detailed in the preventative maintenance program.

Requirements

  • 2 years' experience programming lasers and robotic welders.
  • Prior tube bending experience.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Advanced math, measuring, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Willingness to help in other areas during peak production times.
  • Functional working knowledge of general hand tools such as drills, grinders, sanders, welders, etc.
  • Functional computer knowledge required to log times and make simple transactions in the ERP system.

Additional Information

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday 1PM-9PM plus OT as needed.
  • $500 Sign On Bonus after 90 days based on attendance criteria.
