Overview

The Welder and Fabricator will read and interpret blueprints, lay out materials, fabricate components to specification, and weld assemblies for a wide range of custom projects in a dynamic fabrication job shop environment. This position is with Aerotek, a staffing and services solutions provider in various industries.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols accurately.
  • Lay out materials and fabricate components to specification.
  • Weld assemblies for a variety of custom projects.
  • Work with structural steel, miscellaneous metals, concrete forms, and ornamental iron.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in structural steel welding, especially using flux core welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
  • Experience operating overhead cranes safely in a steel fabrication environment.
  • Competence using air arc, grinders, magnetic drills, and other common fabrication tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.
  • Good communication skills for effective teamwork.
  • Ability to work safely in a loud, heavy industrial setting.
  • Capability to maintain a clean and organized work area.

Additional Information

  • This is a Permanent position based out of York, PA.
  • First Shift: 6 am - 2:30 pm, Second Shift: 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm, overtime as needed.
  • This is a fully onsite position.
