Overview

The Welder fabricates, assembles, and welds metal components for seating systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role requires reading blueprints, performing MIG welding, and ensuring high quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble metal components for seating systems according to production requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine welding and fabrication specifications.
  • Perform MIG welding on a variety of metal parts, ensuring strong, clean, and accurate welds.
  • Fit and position components prior to welding to achieve precise alignment and proper dimensions.
  • Use grinding and other finishing techniques to prepare, smooth, and finish welded joints and surfaces.
  • Inspect completed welds and assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and product specifications.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in MIG welding and a basic understanding of welding fundamentals.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
