Overview

This is an opportunity to join the 2nd Shift as a Welding Specialist I at the Boulder location, offering growth opportunities, competitive pay, and benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Produce code qualified welds in the 1G or 2G positions using the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding method.
  • Perform visual weld inspection before, during, and after each welding operation.
  • Follow safety procedures and identify safety concerns.
  • Communicate and cooperate well with co-workers and support staff.
  • Participate in improvement activities using Continuous Improvement Process and Lean Manufacturing tools.
  • Maintain proper process documentation for all operations.
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance, safety, and work habits.
  • Participate on New Product Introduction Teams and support prototype builds.
  • Ensure product and process quality is maintained and assist with process audits.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, tools, and fixtures.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized according to 5s+1 principles.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; AAS degree in welding preferred.
  • Prefer welding experience.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35lbs frequently.
  • Must be able to bend, crouch, push, pull, and reach regularly.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment correctly.
  • Requires repetitive motion of fingers, hands, arms, and shoulders.
  • Capable of safely operating a powered industrial forklift.
