Overview

We are accepting applications for experienced Structural Welders in Jeanerette, LA. This position requires a solid understanding of welding techniques and the ability to perform repair and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Weld 3G/4G.
  • Perform repair and maintenance work.
  • Read blueprints and drawings to plan layout and procedures.
  • Employ knowledge of metallurgy and geometry for welding solutions.
  • Set up, evaluate, and operate various welding equipment and tools.
  • Determine appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
  • Set up components for welding according to specifications.
  • Use hand tools to achieve proper surface texture.
  • Select proper fillers for jobs based on experience or project instructions.
  • Coordinate with field labor crew for efficient installations.
  • Conserve resources to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Must be an experienced Structural Welder.
  • Experience with FLUXCORE welding.
  • Ability to work at different heights.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 LBS.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Must have own PPE including hard hat, steel toes, safety glasses, gloves, welding hood, welding shirts, and welding gloves.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen.

Additional Information

  • Competitive pay with weekly pay schedule.
  • Work schedule includes 10-12 hour days, Monday to Friday, with weekends as needed.
  • Duration of job is approximately 4 months.
