Overview

We are looking for a talented Welder III to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Frankfort, KY. This role involves performing skilled activities that support manufacturing business needs while ensuring safety and quality craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety by stopping work and reporting any major injury hazards immediately.
• Report any work-related injury, illness, incident, or hazard to ensure compliance with HSE standards.
• Recognize how your work impacts the environment and work to minimize negative effects.
• Apply high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship to ensure tasks are performed to the highest quality.
• Provide feedback into the Preventive Maintenance system and perform quality inspections.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and solve problems to enhance processes.
• Communicate effectively with your team and support teams to foster a collaborative work environment.
• Engage in HSE training and complete personal development to stay updated with business requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of welding experience.
• Must be able to pass Cummins welding certification.
• Perform bracket welding on axles and assemble Meritor tire inflation system to axles.
• Inspect completed welds to determine structural soundness.
• Read and interpret bill of material, work instructions, and specifications to current build of axles.
• Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
