Job Description

Overview

Hybrid Fab is a growing architectural metals contractor specializing in high-end custom metal fabrication and installation for commercial projects throughout Texas. They are seeking a skilled Architectural TIG Welder / Fabricator-Fitter with 3–5 years of experience to join their fabrication shop.

Responsibilities

  • TIG weld stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel to architectural standards.
  • Read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication details.
  • Fabricate and fit custom architectural metal products including railings, panels, decorative metals, and miscellaneous metals.
  • Lay out, measure, fit, tack, and assemble materials prior to welding.
  • Verify dimensions and ensure proper fit-up before final welding.
  • Grind, polish, and finish welds to an architectural finish.
  • Maintain tight tolerances and produce clean, high-quality work.
  • Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drill presses, and other shop machinery.
  • Work safely while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Collaborate with shop supervisors and fabrication team to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of architectural TIG welding and fabrication experience required.
  • Experience fitting and fabricating from shop drawings is required.
  • Experience welding stainless steel is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication details.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
  • Experience using fabrication equipment such as grinders, saws, layout tools, and measuring equipment.
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fabrication shop environment.
