Overview

We are currently seeking applicants for a construction project in Childress, TX, offering $38/hr and a $150 per diem for Iron Workers and General Laborers.

Responsibilities

  • Build, reinforce and repair iron and steel structures in accordance with design parameters.
  • Study and analyze blueprints, diagrams, schematics and work orders to understand the required tasks.
  • Unload, stack, and arrange iron and steel materials at worksites.
  • Measure and cut components to the correct length.
  • Bend and shape elements to ensure a precise fit.
  • Align beams and weld them in place to build structures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some experience in welding or construction preferred.
  • Knowledge of how to handle metal properly.
  • Proficient in industry tools and equipment, such as hand and power tools and welding devices.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to lift at least 35 pounds and stand for extended periods.
