Overview

We are currently seeking applicants for a construction project in Childress, TX, offering a competitive wage of $38 per hour plus a $150 per diem.

Responsibilities

  • Moving, organizing, and loading pipes, valves, and fittings.
  • Helping senior fitters measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipe spools.
  • Clearing the work area, maintaining equipment, and acting as a fire watch during welding operations.
  • Securing brackets, hangers, and supports for piping systems.
  • Assisting with hydrostatic and pressure testing of assembled lines.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • High stamina is necessary; the job requires standing, climbing, and lifting materials often in excess of 50 lbs.
  • Basic math skills, mechanical reasoning, and the ability to learn to read blueprints.
  • NCCER is required, NCCER Advanced is preferred.
  • OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour construction safety certification is frequently required.
