Overview

A specialty architectural millwork shop in Brooklyn is seeking a skilled woodworker/fabricator with 2-5 years of relevant experience to join their small workshop team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality in their work.

Responsibilities

  • Have hands-on woodworking, fabrication, or other relevant technical experience
  • Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and spatial reasoning
  • Be comfortable working with woodworking machinery and hand tools
  • Read and work accurately from technical shop drawings
  • Follow established fabrication processes consistently
  • Pay close attention when learning new processes and retain and apply what you have been taught
  • Work safely, efficiently, and with focus
  • Communicate clearly and work well within a small team

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of relevant woodworking experience
  • Competence and skill in the woodworking craft
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read technical shop drawings
