Overview

The Welder/Production Prep position involves performing welding duties primarily using a MIG welder, ensuring quality and precision in welds, and adhering to job specifications. Candidates must be reliable, detail-oriented, and willing to cross-train as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of basic welding principles
  • Perform welding duties using a MIG welder
  • Weld metal components with welding equipment as specified by work orders or verbal instruction
  • Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet product specifications
  • Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, work orders, and shop drawings
  • Willingness to cross-train as needed
  • Ability to lift, lower and slide objects weighing up to 50lbs
  • Must pay attention to details and be quality and precision-focused

Requirements

  • Knowledge of MIG welding; TIG welding is a plus
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Must have reliable transportation and excellent attendance
  • Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Math skills and able to read tape measure and technical drawings
  • Comfortable and proficient with grinders and various other hand tools
  • Work effectively with limited direction as well as in a team environment
  • Applicants will be subject to criminal background check and drug test
