Job Description

Overview

Fire Escape Services Network is hiring skilled tradespeople including Ironworks-Fabricators, Wood Balcony Carpenters, Painters, and Home Inspectors for contract work across the San Francisco Bay Area and the entire West Coast. The company offers steady work, training opportunities, and a focus on building restoration teams nationwide.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs, replacement work, re-bolting, and structural corrections on fire escapes.
  • Conduct prep work, scraping, rust treatment, priming, and coatings as a painter.
  • Handle framing, repairs, replacement, and waterproofing for wood balconies and exterior egress.
  • Provide welding services and fabrication as subcontract partners.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of trade experience preferred, especially in fire escape, ironwork, or balconies.
  • Valid driver's license required (MA or CA depending on work location).
  • Background check required.
  • W-9 / 1099 form needed.
  • References and proven track record required.
  • Must sign Independent Contractor Agreement.
  • General Liability and Workers Comp insurance required.
