Overview

Drop Works is an established custom fabrication and scenic building firm in the Bay Area, seeking full-time fabricator/installers with experience in set building, trade show booths, and custom fabrication for retail build-outs and events. The company has been a leader in the industry for over 25 years, operating a large fabrication shop and commercial photo studio in Vallejo, CA.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry-based custom fabrication for activations and scenic architecture.
• Logistics, transport, and installation of custom fabricated elements and sets.
• Complete various fabrication projects for commercial customers and private events.
• Work collaboratively in small teams under tight deadlines.

Requirements

• 5+ years of finish carpentry/custom fabrication experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks like crouching, bending, and climbing.
• Significant knowledge in the safe and effective use of professional power tools.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and accurately fabricate and install builds from drawings and plans.
• Maintain consistent attendance and arrive on time daily.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Team-oriented and self-starting approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable transportation required for offsite work.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
• Ability to build and maintain good working relationships with diverse individuals.
• Willingness to expand and improve skills.
• Detail-oriented.

Additional Information

• Self-transport is required for offsite work.
