Overview

Seasats builds unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) that operate at sea for months at a time. As they continue to grow production, they are looking for a skilled Composite Fabricator to join their manufacturing team, focusing on assembling composite structures into finished boats.

Responsibilities

  • Bond composite structures using structural epoxy adhesives
  • Prepare bonding surfaces through sanding, cleaning, and other surface prep techniques
  • Install bonded inserts, brackets, mounting plates, and other hardware
  • Read engineering drawings and assembly instructions
  • Trim, drill, fit, and finish composite components
  • Use fixtures and jigs to ensure accurate, repeatable assemblies
  • Inspect finished work for quality and workmanship
  • Work with engineering to improve manufacturing processes

Requirements

  • Experience working with fiberglass, carbon fiber, or other composite materials
  • Experience with structural bonding and epoxy adhesives
  • Ability to read drawings or follow technical instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
  • Comfortable using common hand and power tools
  • Reliable, communicative, and able to work well on a team
