Overview

We are looking for a hardworking, dependable, and experienced Welder/Production Painter who can also perform deliveries. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, works well with others, and is committed to meeting production deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Take accurate measurements and lay out work for fabrication.
  • Determine the appropriate welding equipment and methods based on job requirements.
  • Prepare materials using angle grinders and other fabrication tools.
  • Weld, fabricate, and repair machinery, equipment, and metal components.
  • Inspect and test completed welds to ensure quality and structural integrity.
  • Maintain welding equipment and keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and production standards.
  • Read, understand, and strictly follow Technical Data Sheets (TDS) and finish specifications.
  • Prepare parts for painting through sanding, media blasting, cleaning, and surface preparation.
  • Properly mask components to protect surfaces from overspray and contamination.
  • Set up and operate spray guns, paint booths, mixing equipment, and coating systems.
  • Mix primers and paint coatings accurately according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Apply primers, paints, sealants, and protective coatings to customer specifications.
  • Ensure final finishes meet quality standards for appearance and durability.
  • Diagnose and correct coating or surface preparation issues.
  • Calculate coating and consumable usage while monitoring paint inventory and expiration dates.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on painting equipment.
  • Maintain production records and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies.
  • Assist Engineering in developing internal painting and surface preparation procedures.
  • Support production schedules through effective planning, preparation, coating, and cleanup.
  • Report technical issues to management promptly.
  • Deliver safely to customer locations and job sites.
  • Load and secure equipment properly for transport.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Maintain delivery schedules while operating safely and professionally.
  • Follow DOT and company safety regulations.

Requirements

  • NO DRUG USERS.
  • RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION REQUIRED.
  • Minimum 5 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of industrial paint finish application experience.
  • Forklift Certification Required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be dependable with excellent attendance.

Additional Information

  • This is NOT an entry-level position.
  • Overtime, weekends, evenings, or night shifts may be required based on production demands.
