Overview

MO STEEL FABRICATOR AND ERECTOR INC is a steel fabrication and erection company based in Miami, Florida, providing structural steel solutions for commercial and industrial projects. The Welder role is a full-time hybrid position in North Miami Beach, FL, involving fabrication and welding duties to ensure safe and durable structures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day fabrication and welding duties, including cutting, fitting, and assembling steel components according to drawings and specifications.
  • Set up welding equipment and select appropriate welding methods and materials.
  • Produce high-quality welds that meet industry and company standards.
  • Inspect completed work and perform basic equipment maintenance.
  • Follow safety protocols and coordinate with fabricators, supervisors, and site teams to meet project deadlines.
  • Provide occasional on-site erection support, measurements, and adjustments as needed.

Requirements

  • Strong Welding skills, including Arc Welding, TIG Welding, and MIG Welding.
  • Knowledge of materials, including properties of structural steel and related metals.
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, including proper use of PPE and adherence to OSHA and company standards.
  • Ability to operate cutting, grinding, and measuring tools with attention to detail and quality.
  • Previous experience in steel fabrication or construction environments is preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site in North Miami Beach, FL, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Relevant welding certifications or technical training are beneficial.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
