Responsibilities and Duties:

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to determine project requirements. Weld and fabricate stainless steel and other metals using TIG and other welding techniques. Cut, grind, fit, and assemble materials to precise measurements and tolerances. Set up and operate welding machines, torches, grinders, and related shop equipment. Inspect completed welds and assemblies to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and project specifications. Maintain proper documentation of welds, materials, and quality control checks. Follow safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and adherence to OSHA and company safety policies. Assist with material handling, loading, and staging of fabricated components for delivery. Collaborate with shop foreman, project managers, and field crews to meet deadlines and support project schedules. Perform equipment maintenance and report issues with tools, machines, or materials. Keeps work area clear of unnecessary clutter and performs routine clean-up as needed. All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Experience

Experience/Qualifications Required:

Minimum 1year welding experience.

Job Skills

Knowledge of general plumbing and piping installation is a plus. Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy and productivity. Basic math skills. Ability to pass a pipe test (GTAW). Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols. Familiarity with pipe welding, and structural welding practices. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to use hand tools, grinders, torches, plasma cutters, and fabrication shop machinery. Strong safety awareness and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced shop environment. Strong communication and organizational skills.

Education

High School or GED equivalent Trade School a plus

Physical Requirements

Eyesight correctable to 20/50 Able to perform shift work if needed Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 60 lbs. Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work in a shop environment.
