Overview

The Welder Fabricator 1 will utilize metal inert gas (MIG) welding to work with steel and aluminum, assembling metal pieces and products while adhering to safety protocols. This role involves interpreting blueprints and specifications to ensure quality and structural soundness in a production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG & TIG welding on products.
  • Perform cosmetic welding on products.
  • Meet daily productivity and output goals.
  • Set up components for welding according to specifications.
  • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
  • Repair product and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
  • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws.
  • Maintain equipment in a safe condition.
  • Cut aluminum to specifications.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or completion certificate from a certified technical school preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of work-related experience as a MIG Welder highly preferred.
  • MIG Welder Certification(s) preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to use a tape measure and calculate fractions.
  • Ability to visualize projects and manage timelines effectively.
