Overview

The Pipefitter HVAC position at Amentum involves performing pipefitting duties at the NASA Johnson Space Center. Candidates must have HVAC experience and a strong background in various pipefitting tasks while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned pipefitting duties as an Amentum employee onsite at the NASA Johnson Space Center.
  • Fit weld fittings, threaded fittings, and MJ (mechanical joint) fittings.
  • Use Oxy-Gas torch and operate Rigid 535 pipe machine.
  • Fit copper fittings and bolt-up flanges.
  • Sweat copper and take off for 4” standard 45° butt-weld.
  • Lift up to 40 lbs and work effectively in a hot and noisy environment.

Requirements

  • Must have HVAC experience.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED or 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen to obtain a required NASA Badge.
  • Must have a valid Texas driver's license (with REAL ID star).
  • Must be able to communicate in English effectively.
