Overview

American Welding & Gas Inc is seeking a Fill Plant Operator for their gas cylinder production and distribution facility in Baytown, TX. The role involves manufacturing compressed gas and liquid products, including cylinder inspection, filling, labeling, and compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Read, understand, and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
  • Ensure manifold meets required specifications daily
  • Ensure all cylinders pass required pre-fill inspections prior to filling
  • Fill cylinders as outlined in the SOP
  • Move compressed gas or liquid cylinders
  • Correctly label cylinders
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of paperwork
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, HazMat, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Able to read and write English
  • Able to read and interpret gauges and analog dials
  • Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders
  • Forklift skills and experience a plus
  • Ability to lift 75-100 lbs
  • Must be detail-oriented, flexible and work well with others
  • Ability to perform duties in a safety-conscious manner with minimal supervision
