The Assembly D role involves complex electro-mechanical assembly and repair activities, requiring advanced technical skills and the ability to lead in the absence of the Production Lead.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex electro-mechanical assembly, rework, and repair operations according to work instructions and quality standards.
• Apply soldering skills to Military specifications or ANSI-J-STD-001 requirements as needed.
• Select and use various assembly and wiring tools, including manual, pneumatic, and electric hand tools.
• Lift and manipulate parts and assemblies weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Operate power lifting and handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Utilize manufacturing equipment across production areas to support assembly operations.
• Perform complex rework and repair on a wide range of product types, excluding PWAs.
• Understand technical issues and disposition requirements associated with customer returns.
• Communicate effectively with Management, Quality, Test Technicians, Engineering, and other support groups.
• Work independently under limited supervision while meeting schedule, quality, and performance expectations.
• Provide guidance and assist in training team members on new assembly processes.
• Document build sequences for new products to support repeatability and training.
• Assume Lead responsibilities as needed to support production continuity.
• Accurately charge time to jobs performed and maintain assembly status using computer systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• 4 to 7 years of experience assembling electro-mechanical subassemblies and major assemblies, preferably in a military environment.
• Strong background in assembly, rework, and repair processes for complex assemblies and military hardware.
• Hand soldering skills and knowledge of ANSI-J-STD-001.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of complex build sequences and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interface effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Working knowledge of computers to record and update assembly status.
• Familiarity with military standards is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality requirements.
