Overview

Power Solutions International (PSI) is a leading manufacturer of emissions-certified powertrains specializing in customized and fully integrated turnkey solutions. The Warranty Technician is responsible for the timely receipt, documentation, inspection, and technical evaluation of engines and components returned for warranty consideration.

Responsibilities

  • Receive engines, components, and warranty-related materials for inspection.
  • Verify received items against warranty claims and documentation.
  • Enter received engines and components into the MIZE warranty system.
  • Document discrepancies or issues identified during the receiving process.
  • Review all information associated with warranty claims before inspections.
  • Perform comprehensive inspections to determine failure modes and root causes.
  • Disassemble engines as necessary to identify internal damage.
  • Inspect various engine systems for evidence of failure.
  • Document inspection findings with detailed notes and evidence.
  • Escalate unusual or complex failures to the Warranty Manager.
  • Complete inspections within the established 30-day inspection KPI.
  • Provide clear and concise inspection reports to the Warranty team.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Hands-on experience with engine repair, diagnosis, maintenance, or inspection required.
  • Mechanical experience with internal combustion engines preferred.
  • Experience with engine electrical systems and fuel systems preferred.
  • Experience using common diagnostic equipment and measurement tools preferred.
  • Previous experience in a warranty, service, repair, or technical inspection environment preferred.
