Overview

The Utility Technician I/II - Collections position at the City of Goodyear involves skilled work in maintaining water and wastewater systems, with the potential for underfilling based on experience. Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance on water wells, pumps, motors, and wastewater treatment equipment.
  • Provide direction to peers and subordinates in day-to-day work activities.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain open communication with all stakeholders.
  • Adhere to safety standards and prepare required safety records and reports.
  • Conduct daily inspections of wastewater collection infrastructure and maintain records.
  • Assume duties of the Collection Division Senior Technician in their absence.

Requirements

  • Utility Technician II: Minimum two years experience in a related field.
  • Utility Technician I: Minimum one year of experience in a related field.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • ADEQ Grade I Operator License in Collections for both levels.
  • Obtain ADEQ Grade II Operator License and Commercial Driver's License within 12 months of hire.
