Overview

Oldcastle, a CRH company, is a leading provider of innovative outdoor living products and utility infrastructure solutions across North America. The maintenance mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and support of all equipment on site, involving various types of repairs and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose equipment problems
  • Troubleshoot systems and make necessary adjustments, corrections or repairs
  • Call-in and coordinate outside repairs if needed
  • Mentor and train lesser trained team members and assist in their advancement
  • Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules
  • Make repairs in a timely fashion
  • Work and perform safely with knowledge of OSHA standard industrial safety practices

Requirements

  • Must have equipment maintenance background
  • Welding preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and walk or stand most of the shift and be able to work overtime as needed
  • Minimum requirement is high school graduate and post-secondary technical trade certificates desirable
  • Five (5) or more years plant / equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
