Overview

Dover Food Retail (DFR) is a leading manufacturer of refrigeration systems and specialty products, part of the Dover Corporation. The Piper I role involves performing brazing to install refrigeration components and assisting with unit layout and setup.

Responsibilities

  • Measure, cut, bend, assemble and install copper and steel tubing.
  • Use torch to apply solder and braze copper to copper pipes.
  • Operate copper saw and tube bender.
  • Make flares and suction/discharge piping.
  • Pressurize and leak check units.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; or three to six months related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems in situations with limited standardization.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
