Overview

Dover Food Retail (DFR) is a leading manufacturer of Display Cases and Refrigeration Systems, focusing on innovation in glass doors and merchandising technologies. The Assembler I - Sheet Metal Worker role involves assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal products and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles units, exhaust fans, house doors, damper hoods and makes pan rings according to job order.
  • Smooths burred surfaces with files and grinders.
  • Lays and attaches metal or wood flooring and/or covering.
  • Applies primer, paint, and caulk as needed.
  • Performs close up requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and three to six months related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
  • Knowledge and understanding of metal types and gauging.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
