Overview

Cornerstone Building Brands is a leading manufacturer of exterior building products for residential and low-rise non-residential buildings in North America. The Industrial Maintenance Tech II position involves supporting manufacturing operations and performing maintenance on electro-mechanical equipment during the 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments.
  • Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition.
  • Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
  • Troubleshoot the inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issues.
  • Complete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment and relocate machines.
  • Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including repairs of cylinders and other components.
  • Enter all work completed in computer-based maintenance program.
  • Monitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order forms.
  • Adjust equipment based on Statistical Process Control data and team with QA.
  • Train new and Level 1 mechanics in more complex tasks and skills.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in related field is desired.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Intermediate knowledge of fabrication (ex. welding, basic machining).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.

  • Shift: 2nd Shift 4pm-12:30am Monday-Friday (frequent Saturdays as needed).
