Overview

Chart Industries designs and builds advanced cryogenic equipment, solving complex problems as a team. They are looking for an Orbital Welder to help create solutions that support various industries and applications.

Responsibilities

  • Operate an orbital tig machine.
  • Weld stainless steel and aluminum base materials.
  • Operate cranes, forklifts, and aerial lifts.
  • Weld vessels through established manufacturing processes with minimal instruction and supervision.
  • Join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques.
  • Work with thin wall piping.
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate welding processes.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure structural soundness.
  • Perform a variety of tasks.
  • Promote and support safety and production.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Completion of a Welder Training Program.
  • Proficient in all positions with GTAW.
  • Proficient in knowledge of blueprint reading and welding symbols.
  • Proficient in visual inspection.
  • Must complete and pass a welding test.
  • Ability to adhere to Company Standards and Values.
  • Ability to meet expectations for attendance and performance, and deadlines for assignments.
  • Ability to interact personably with co-workers and associates.
